Tosin Kasumu

Tosin is a Research Trainee at the Predictive Care lab at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), and an incoming fourth-year undergraduate student studying Human Biology, Psychology, and English at the University of Toronto.

His research interests lie in mental health, technology, and literacy, particularly in exploring how digital tools like AI chatbots can support equitable, trust-centred care for marginalized communities. He’s passionate about knowledge translation, research accessibility, and storytelling that bridges the lab and the real world.

Tosin brings experience across health research, social work, speech-language pathology, and digital outreach. He’s worked on projects ranging from long-term care home outreach planning to AI model training to digital literacy assessment tool development.
Tosin is passionate about the future of research communication, where findings don’t sit in journals, but live in videos, classrooms, policy, and everyday conversations.
