Hailey Rocha
Hailey is a Research Trainee in the Predictive Care lab, a 2024 University of Toronto Excellence Award Recipient, and a third-year undergraduate student studying Medical Anthropology and Women & Gender Studies at the University of Toronto.
Their major research interest is to address intersectional barriers to accessing healthcare across space and time; specifically reproductive justice, holistic gendered-informed mental health care, and 2SLGBTQ+ health. Hailey has a deep-rooted passion for advocacy, accessibility, storytelling, and equitable treatment of all bodies, stemming from their own experience living with and advocating for chronic illness.
Hailey has academic and professional experiences working within various fields including interdisciplinary research, healthcare, law, education, and the nonprofit sector.
They are an aspiring ethnographer, storyteller, writer, and advocate.
