Dr. Juveria Zaheer is a scientist with the Institute for Mental Health Policy Research and General Adult Psychiatry and Health Systems Division at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto.

A nationally recognized expert in suicide risk assessment and prevention, Dr. Zaheer focuses on developing and evaluating targeted suicide screening and prevention strategies. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Suicide Prevention and was recently named one of Canada's Top 40 under 40.

Dr. Zaheer's research focuses on suicide, gender and culture. She is also involved in mixed-methods program evaluation and health services research.
