Chris Dharma
Chris Dharma is a Vanier Canada Scholar and a doctoral candidate in epidemiology at the University of Toronto. With the Predictive Care Team, he runs machine learning models and statistical analysis on the electronic health records for psychiatric care at the Center for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). He has worked at multiple public health research institutions, where he gained expertise in working with administrative and survey data on a wide range of health outcomes such as mental health, sexual health, and cardiovascular disease. His thesis focuses on methodological development to estimate prevalence among minority populations (such as sexual minorities) when there is no gold standard data. He holds a BSc in statistics and psychology from Simon Fraser University and an MSc in epidemiology and biostatistics from The University of Western Ontario.
